Crayon Drive!

Crayon Drive!

Emerson PTA's Go-Green Comittee is assisting Churchville 7th grader (and former Emerson student) Jessica Heinz, as she participates in a Churchville community service project by collecting and donating crayons for SCARCE.  Old crayons will be melted down into large crayons and/or triangular crayons for children with physical disablities. New or lightly used crayons will be donated to schools who do not have enough money to afford art supplies for their students.

A crayon collection box will be located on top of the blue PTA drop-off bins in the hallway by the office from March 2nd through March 12th. Now's your chance to get rid of all those broken/unused crayons you have lying around the house, and donate to a worthy cause!

* Go-Green Committee will be holding a separate collection at the very end of the school year for unwanted crayons in school desks and lockers
