UCCA Invites You to "Art in the Evening: Food for Life"

Posted by Vanessa Cowhey on Nov 2, 2009

United Community Concerns Association (UCCA) is an organization that helps only Elmhurst residents and is not affiliated with the schools.  It is the same organization that has the food drive that starts in the schools today and runs through Nov 20. During the Holidays we box all the food from the schools and give it to families.  Last year we had the hightest numbers ever....250 families.  This year we already had 250 families signed up 2 weeks ago.  The need in Elmhurst is real.

UCCA also provides food and Jewel gift certificates during other times of the year.  And that's where you can help.

This Friday night, November 6, Elmhurst businesses are coming together in an unprecidented way...many are participating in Art in the Evening:  Food for Life.  Those who are participating are giving a percentage back to UCCA so we can help people in Elmhurst.  All you have to do is go to one of these businesses on Friday. There are many businesses on this list..not just restaurants. (Many restaurants are doing takeout, as well.)  Click here for a list or participants
