Birthday Book Club

Posted by Jana Krausfeldt on Feb 5, 2013

The Emerson School Library is instituting a Birthday Book Program. This program will increase the library collection and provide books in a wide range of reading levels and interests.  It will also help us provide the newest, most popular titles in multiple copies.  Lastly, it will help us align our collection to the curriculum as well as to the literary and informational text specifications of the Common Core State Standards.

Participation in the program involves a donation of $15 per book. With your donation, your child will be invited down to the LRC to choose his/her book from a special Birthday Book list. A commemorative bookplate with your child’s name and birth date will be placed in the book. Also, your child will be the first student to check out the new book. For more information and to sign-up, please read the attached flyer. Orders are due by February 22nd!
