The Great Donation Day is Friday, June 3

Posted by Joan Letourneau on May 4, 2011

Emerson will be collecting used school supplies in connection with The Great Donation Day, a community effort to help organizations in need by reusing and recycling unwanted items.

Bring in your used school supplies on June 1, 2 and 3 for donation to Schools Count, a local charity that provides school supplies to students in need. On Friday, June 3 from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm, a community-wide collection drive will be held at Berens Park where you can bring other items such as books, shoes, computers and electronics. Please see the attached flyer for the full list of school supplies and other items that will be accepted.

This initiative was started last year at Emerson by the Charitable Committee. This year, nearly all District 205 schools are participating, with support from the Elmhurst Cool Cities Coalition. Please contact Barb Lonergan at for more information.
