Saris Announces Poster Contest for 5th Grade Students

Posted by Joan Letourneau on Feb 15, 2011

The League of Illinois Bicyclists and Active Transportation Alliance have partnered with Saris Cycling to launch a contest that asks 5th grade students to create a poster based on the theme “Bicycling is fun...and healthy too!” The objective of the contest is to encourage 5th grade students to think about the ways bicycles benefit their community and themselves (bicycling is fun, healthy and green).

Each participating school will select one student to send to the state level, and prizes will be awarded to a first, second and third place winner in each state. In addition, one national winner will receive a trip to Washington, D.C. during the 2012 National Bike Summit.
