UCCA Announces Annual Holiday Food Drive

Posted by Joan Letourneau on Oct 26, 2010

The United Community Concerns Association (UCCA) gives assistance to Elmhurst school children and their families in Elmhurst, providing food baskets and food certificates at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Last year, UCCA assisted nearly 300 families throughout the holidays. In addition, UCCA furnishes food vouchers throughout the year for the Elmhurst Walk-In Ministry program that was established to help people in need in our community.

UCCA is asking for our help to fill the holiday food baskets by bringing donations to Emerson School from November 1-19, 2010. The food will be picked up and taken to the Elmhurst Public Works garage, where it will be sorted and boxed for distribution.

Please see the attached flyer for more information, including a list of suggested food and household items for donation.
