Emerson PTA News & Reminders

PTA Thank You and End of Year Update

Another extraordinary year is coming to a close!  I want to extend a very special thank you to the PTA board, the many PTA committee chairs and every parent who has volunteered their valuable time during the past year to help enhance our students' experience at Emerson. Our children benefit every day from the time you take to continue our various PTA programs, such as: Junior Great Books, our many special Assemblies, Field Day and Read to Succeed, Fall Fest, the Talent Show, Charitable initiatives, and many more.  None of these would be possible without you.  It has been an honor and a pleasure to represent you as PTA president this year. I think we can all be proud to be a part of the Emerson family.

In addition, I am pleased that our success this year has enabled us to provide financial support to the school that wouldn't otherwise be possible.  We will be installing a water bottle refill station and fountain, increasing teacher’s classroom support, purchasing atomic clocks and supplying TDPE equipment for each classroom and additional recess equipment.

I also want to thank Mrs. Gregor and the teachers and staff for supporting the efforts of the PTA in so many ways.

A reminder as the year ends:

If you are due a reimbursement, please get those requests to Erin Nahumyk, our treasurer, as soon as possible.  You can drop them off in the school office by May 31 or email them to along with copies or pictures of your receipts.

Please make sure that you hand off your committee folders to the new committee chairs at your earliest convenience.

If you or someone you know is interested in chairing a committee next year, please contact Lisa Ruggieri at
